American Traveler is hiring an Oncology RN-Chemo Certified-for a mixed acuity PCU/Med-Surg unit with MS and oncology experience required and flexible day/night rotating shifts.Job Details•Work in a hospital-based Oncology unit with mixed acuity PCU and Med-Surg patient populations,•Care for patients with complex hematologic malignancies and disorders, including acute and chronic leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and transplant cases,•Provide care for patients undergoing autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic transplants and CAR-T therapy,•Day/night 12-hour rotating shifts as determined by unit needs, with potential to work consecutive day or night periods,•Schedules are set by the facility and may include every weekend; flexibility is essential,Job Requirements•Active RN license (compact or Ohio state) in hand at time of consideration,•Completion of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required,•Minimum 1 year of recent oncology and medical-surgical nursing experience,•Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required,•Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification required,•Oncology clinical certification required,•Preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS),•Proficiency in MS/Tele, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, rapid response, feeding tube care, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, and PICC line management,•Two professional references required, with one from a supervisor, manager, or director,Additional Information•Primary responsibilities include chemotherapy administration, transplant patient care, and management of complex oncology and PCU/Med-Surg interventions,•May utilize rapid response protocols and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes,•Must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after contract acceptance for credentialing,•Requested Time Off (RTO) is limited to a maximum of 1-2 days and must be included with initial contract,•Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers,•Candidates who have been employed at any Ohio State University hospital within the past 6 months are not eligible,•Scrub color or dress code details are not specified; follow facility policy,•Holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on scheduling needs,•First time travelers are welcome to apply
