LHH is seeking an Engineering Program Manager for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement opportunity with a leading manufacturing company in the Central Indiana area (Indy/Lafayette). In this role, you will take ownership of engineering programs focused on new product development, guiding projects from concept through successful launch. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and serve as a key liaison between engineering, operations, and customers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of innovative solutions. This company also offers relocation assistance for qualified candidates. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $115,000 annually, plus bonus potential. Responsibilities
- Lead engineering programs from initial design through production release, ensuring all deliverables meet quality, cost, and timeline objectives.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for internal teams and customer-facing milestones, providing regular updates to leadership.
- Oversee program budgets, approve purchase orders, and monitor expenses to maintain financial compliance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to assigned programs, collaborating with engineering, sales, and client services to resolve issues quickly.
- Conduct design reviews with internal teams and external partners to ensure manufacturability and compliance with specifications.
- Perform APQP, PPAP, and/or Finite Element Analysis as needed to validate designs and processes.
- Drive successful product launches by coordinating deliverables, managing inventory transitions, and implementing process improvements based on feedback.
- Validate new designs, troubleshoot quality concerns, and perform root cause analysis during early production phases.
- Partner with operations and leadership to align daily activities with overall program objectives.
- Conduct initial and ongoing product performance evaluations to ensure quality and reliability.
- Required: Hands-on experience managing engineering programs and new product development within a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management and/or new product development.
- Background in a highly regulated industry is a plus.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and CAD designs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
