Our client is seeking a highly capable System Transients Analysis Engineer to develop and validate thermal-hydraulic and control system models for an advanced energy reactor program. This role involves collaborating across safety, I&C, and reactor design teams to support reactor transients, control strategies, and thermal-fluid performance.
Location: Bellevue, WA
Length of Assignment: 12 months

Responsibilities:
- Develop and run RELAP5-3D models for steady-state and transient thermal-hydraulic analysis.
- Support plant-wide transient evaluations, including normal, upset, and faulted events.
- Design and validate component- and plant-level control strategies.
- Perform first-principles calculations in heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
- Conduct multi-scale and multi-physics analysis involving sodium, molten salt, or gas systems.
- Integrate modeling efforts with broader system design and safety analysis teams.
- B.S. or higher in Nuclear, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong experience with RELAP5/TRACE or equivalent system analysis codes.
- Background in control system modeling and I&C integration preferred.
- Experience with nuclear plant design, transient response, or operations desirable.
- Skilled in thermal-hydraulic system modeling and 1D network analysis.
- Strong technical writing and cross-functional communication skills.
Estimated Compensation Range: $30.00-$70.00 per hour. All experience levels considered.
