Asphalt Plant Loader Operator

Plant Foreman Position Summary Our client is seeking a reliable Asphalt Plant Loader Operator to support operations at their aggregate/asphalt facility. This position is responsible for operating loaders, skid steers, and other mobile equipment, assisting with plant operations and repairs, and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities Operate loaders, skid steers, and other assigned mobile equipment safely and efficiently. Perform pre-operational checks, fueling, and servicing of assigned equipment. Assist with plant operations, including running the crushing plant as directed. Support plant repairs and routine maintenance tasks. Complete cleanup assignments using hand tools, hoses, and other equipment. Maintain work platforms, quarry access points, and assigned areas in a clean and safe condition. Communicate equipment or operational issues promptly to the foreman. Monitor environmentally sensitive areas and take corrective action as needed. Follow all MSHA, OSHA, and company safety procedures, wearing proper PPE at all times. Qualifications Minimum 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED required. Previous heavy equipment operating experience preferred. Technical education in welding and fitting a plus; welding certification preferred but not required. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and Fit for Work physical. Valid documentation to meet I-9 requirements. Willingness to work overtime, nights, weekends, and travel as needed. Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures and varying conditions. Strong teamwork, communication, and safety awareness. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work performed indoors and outdoors in varying conditions (heat, cold, wet, humid, dusty, and dry). Frequent use of PPE to prevent exposure to hazardous materials. Tasks may require lifting, bending, working on slippery surfaces, and safe handling of hoses and tools.
