Love. Unite. The Program Specialist plays a vital leadership role in TCF’s mission to provide high quality, inclusive youth sports programs. Reporting to the Legacy Sports Program Manager, the Specialist oversees the Sports Coordinator(s) and supports the development, delivery, and oversight of dynamic sports programs. This role ensures effective program execution across multiple school sites, guides staff development, enforces accountability standards, and maintains compliance with TCF’s programmatic expectations. The Specialist builds strong relationships with stakeholders, ensures alignment with school day goals, and supports student growth through structured, equity driven sports experiences. Essential Functions Coordinator Supervision & Accountability Supervise and mentor Legacy Sports Coordinator(s), overseeing coaches and sports staff across assigned school sites. Monitor and guide Coordinator completion of core duties including scheduling, site visits, program observations, and coaching feedback. Conduct formal performance evaluations and implement performance improvement plans when necessary. Provide coaching and feedback to promote a positive and performance focused team environment. Other duties as assigned. Program Operations & Compliance Support Assist with the design and implementation of inclusive sports programming (leagues, clinics, tournaments). Ensure program quality, safety, and alignment with TCF standards and school day integration. Track program participation, outcomes, equipment inventory, and site readiness. Support resolution of program level challenges such as behavior incidents or scheduling conflicts. Training & Development Lead onboarding and ongoing training for Coordinators and Coaches on TCF expectations and sports policies. Provide instructional guidance to Coordinators to strengthen site level program leadership. Facilitate professional development, staff huddles, and collaborative learning sessions. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication Build and maintain strong relationships with school administration, partners, and families. Represent Legacy Sports at community meetings and program events. Communicate updates and procedures clearly across team members and stakeholders. Support sponsorship and outreach efforts in collaboration with the Program Manager. Management 48 college semester units or passing score on the Paraeducator exam TB test clearance DOJ/FBI background clearance Reliable, punctual, and dependable Experience working with youth and knowledge of sports programming Ability to lead teams and support level staff Effective communication with youth, families, school staff, and community partners Certifications & Clearances Required: Sexual Harassment Prevention Training and Mandated Reporter Training Preferred: First Aid and CPR Certification Physical Demands & Work Environment Sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to supervise children and conduct sports related activities Frequent physical movement including standing, bending, running, or lifting up to 25 lbs Work conducted indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions May be assigned to multiple school sites Reliable transportation required Must follow all current CDC and local health guidelines Technology & Tools (Preferred) Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Forms, Outlook) Deputy/ADP Employee Access Core Competencies Leadership, coaching, and accountability Effective verbal and written communication Time management, organization, and adaptability Service oriented, team based approach Professionalism, integrity, and mission alignment
