About the Role
Conexus is seeking a highly skilled
Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Technical Expert
to support key client initiatives and internal delivery optimization. This is a part-time contract role focused on ensuring high-quality campaign execution, technical oversight, and scalable delivery practices across SFMC environments. While the role is remote, preference will be given to candidates based in the Eastern Time Zone-particularly those within driving distance of Bridgewater, NJ-for occasional onsite collaboration if needed.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for SFMC campaigns, automations, journeys, and data configurations
Troubleshoot complex issues across Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, and Mobile Studio
Review and validate segmentation logic, AMPscript, SSJS, and SQL-based configurations
Support integration points with Salesforce Sales/Service/Health Cloud and external data feeds
Collaborate with delivery leads to improve internal standards, processes, and reusable components
Mentor junior team members and contribute to documentation and technical enablement
Participate in technical planning for new implementations and platform enhancements
Requirements
5+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Strong command of AMPscript, SSJS, SQL, and SFMC configuration best practices
Proven experience supporting complex, multi-channel campaigns and data-driven personalization
Experience with SFMC integrations (e.g., Marketing Cloud Connect) and CRM data flows
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality assurance and delivery consistency
Excellent communication skills; comfortable collaborating across technical and business teams
Location:
Must be based in the Eastern Time Zone or willing to work during Eastern Time Zone hours; within driving distance of Bridgewater, NJ preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (Administrator, Email Specialist, Developer)
Familiarity with regulated industries such as life sciences or healthcare
Experience supporting delivery teams in a consulting or agency setting
Candidate must be willing to submit to a background check. Any prospective offer will be contingent upon completing a successful background screening.
