At Build-A-Bear, the Store Manager is responsible for the flawless execution of the store experience for both guests and associates. A leader who fully embraces our core values and standards while inspiring others is essential. Responsibilities
Serve as a role model leader, embodying the values and standards of the organization Recruit, hire, and train a high-performing store team Accountable for the overall success of the store, including achieving financial goals, maintaining operational efficiency, and delivering outstanding guest experiences Develop and grow the store team Ensure the store maintains a visually appealing and engaging environment Oversee all aspects of store operations, including inventory management, scheduling, and compliance with policies Develop strategies to increase sales, control expenses, and meet financial targets Conduct performance reviews and address performance issues promptly Provide leadership support to ensure team members adhere to service standards Qualifications
Required: 2 years of store management experience in a customer-centric retail environment High school diploma or GED Basic understanding of POS, payroll, and applicant tracking systems Preferred: 2-4 years of management experience in a similar setting Associate’s degree or higher in business or management Proficiency with Store Force, UKG, POS, Microsoft Outlook Traits for Success

Ability to sit, stand, and move for at least eight hours Work in indoor/outdoor retail locations Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays Lifting over 25 pounds Performance Metrics
