Overview The Vice President of Engineering is responsible for leading, delegating, and supporting the development of practices, procedures, and systems to support a continuously improving and profitable engineering organization. Responsibilities Oversee design, modification, and improvement of company engineering projects and services; directs the design of testing and maintenance processes, and ensure quality control. Delegates and empowers engineering directors and project managers in formulating effective business plans, financial analytics, and client communications. Establishes budget controls, coordinates project and process changes to maintain and improve cost/benefit ratio. Reviews engineering designs in light of the organizations strategic goals, performance objectives. Coordinates the development of efficient organizational structure, including the development of knowledge, skills and abilities; and establishes a succession plan to facilitate a steady and efficient organizational growth and efficiency. Administrative Duties. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management. 7+ years of engineering leadership experience. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment. Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors. Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary. Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification. Professional Engineer License. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds. 30% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location. Pay Range USD $178,000.00 - USD $250,000.00 /Yr.
