Description Job Summary: The Communications Director will develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with our vision to transform lives with the truth of Jesus. This role is designed to be filled by an individual who possesses high leadership skills, Christ-like humility and who is ministry and discipleship-minded. Responsibilities include supervising and developing the communications team both professionally and spiritually, overseeing content creation, managing our website and social media, and promoting the global ministry of Green Acres. This role ensures consistent branding and messaging across all channels, including print, digital, and social media. The Communications Director will collaborate with other church departments and manage the intake and fulfillment of communications requests, manage the communications budget, and evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts. Additionally, staying current with industry trends and fostering team growth and development are key components of this role. This person will report to the Executive Pastor. Supervisory Responsibilities: Overseeing the comms department: Provide guidance and leadership for the development of the team through character, competency, and chemistry. This may include graphic designers, photographers, videographers, and other creative professionals. Empower the Communications Team and Ministry Staff. Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff. Oversees the daily workflow of the department. Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations. Performs other related duties as assigned. Duties/Responsibilities: Developing and implementing communication strategies: Create comprehensive communication strategies that align with the churchs mission, values, and goals. This includes both internal (the congregation) and external (this community) communication plans. Managing branding and messaging: Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all communication channels and campuses, including print materials, website, social media, app, and other digital platforms. Maintain a unified voice and image for the church. Content creation and editing: Create or oversee the creation of written and visual content for various communication channels, such as newsletters, blog post, press releases, and social media. Ensure content is engaging, accurate, and consistent with the churchs messaging. Develop marketing campaigns and strategies to reach and engage the target audience effectively. Multisite Collaboration: Collaborate with campuses for global events and initiatives to unify the vision and messaging of the church. Budget Management: Develop and manage the communication departments budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and efficiently. Monitor expenses and provide regular reports to church leadership. Work with the Executive Pastor for supervision, guidance, and direction from the executive team. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Servant Leadership Approach Ability to represent the voice and mission of Green Acres Knowledge of video, web, social media, graphics, and photography Visionary mindset Ability to plan and execute marketing strategy, Content management, and team workflow. Education and Experience: Relevant degree and/or 5 years in Communications or Marketing. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Travel for on location mission trips, camps, etc. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
