Position summary: The Director, Supply Chain will be a key member of the Operations and Supply Chain leadership team, responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of all aspects of the supply chain, from planning to sourcing raw materials to delivering finished goods, with a focus on optimizing efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. This role will report to Vice President, Operations and Supply Chain Primary responsibilities: Planning and Scheduling Responsible for the sales and planning process to align production capacity with anticipated sales, optimizing inventory and reducing waste. Oversee demand forecasting, resource allocation and production scheduling. Collaborate with sales and operations teams to develop accurate demand forecasts and translate them into efficient production plans. Sourcing and Procurement Develop and implement procurement strategies to secure cost-effective and high-quality raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods and services. Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with quality standards. Develop and implement long-term sourcing and procurement strategies to mitigate risks, ensure supply continuity, and capitalize on emerging market opportunities. Responsible for price negotiations for indirect operations operation supplies Continuously monitor, analyze and communicate commodity market trends, providing insights and recommendations to mitigate price volatility and secure favorable purchasing positions. Stay informed about trends in raw material availability, pricing, and quality, proactively identifying potential challenges and opportunities. Inventory Management Develop and implement inventory management policies and procedures to optimize inventory levels, minimize obsolescence, and ensure the availability of materials and finished goods. Optimize inventory levels and work closely with finance to manage cash flow projections. Logistics Develop and implement strategic supply chain plans. Manage all aspects of inbound and outbound logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution. Optimize logistics networks to reduce costs and improve delivery times. Capacity Planning Evaluate current and future production capacity, identifying potential bottlenecks. Develop strategies to ensure sufficient capacity to meet anticipated demand. Order Entry Oversee the order entry process to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely processing of customer orders. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Procurement:

Inventory Turnover Rate, Days of Supply, Obsolete Inventory Value., days on hand Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management within the food manufacturing industry. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful supply chain strategies. Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel and other relevant supply chain software. Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, and logistics principles.
