Position Overview The Linn-Mar School Foundation seeks a dynamic and visionary leader to guide our fundraising efforts, strengthen donor relationships, and ensure the long-term sustainability of our mission. This role is responsible for setting and executing strategic development plans, cultivating a culture of philanthropy, and providing strong leadership in partnership with the Board of Trustees. The ideal candidate is a proven fundraiser, an inspiring relationship-builder, and a strategic thinker with exceptional organizational and financial oversight skills. Organizational & Board Leadership Partner with the Board of Trustees to set strategic priorities, evaluate progress, and guide decision-making. Provide transparent, data-driven updates on fundraising performance, program impact, and financial health. Support Board development and engagement, equipping members to serve as effective ambassadors and fundraisers. Oversee major fundraising events such as; Mane Event and Dine Out for Schools Provide strategic vision and oversight for all fundraising initiatives, ensuring alignment with the Foundation’s mission and long-term goals. Lead the design, execution, and evaluation of comprehensive development strategies, including annual giving, major gifts, sponsorships, planned giving, and grants. Foster a culture of innovation and accountability in fundraising operations, ensuring measurable growth in philanthropic support. Grow and manage strategic partnerships in the community. Identify and oversee grant opportunities and writing. Donor Relations & Stewardship Build, sustain, and deepen relationships with individual donors, alumni, businesses, and community partners. Serve as the primary ambassador for donor engagement, ensuring a personalized, high-impact stewardship experience. Recognize and celebrate donor contributions through targeted communications, events, and recognition programs. Develop and maintain relationships with our alumni. Prepare, manage, and oversee the Foundation’s annual budget with a focus on fiscal responsibility and long-term sustainability. Ensure compliance with financial policies, reporting standards, and nonprofit regulations. Identify and pursue new revenue streams to diversify funding sources. Offer media relations, as needed. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, or communications. Proven success in donor development, fundraising campaigns, and grant writing. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience with fundraising software and donor databases. Ability to work independently in both in-person and remote settings. Passion for public education and commitment to community impact.
