Senior Network Operations Engineer

at our headquarters in Aix-en-Provence. We seek a highly motivated and experienced professional to ensure the seamless operation of our low-latency trading infrastructure. As a key member of the Platform Product Business Group, you will maintain the stability, performance, and security of our mission-critical network systems that support FxSpotStream and other low-latency technologies. You will collaborate with development teams to promote automation, observability, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day operations of our trading network systems, proactively addressing potential issues. Lead incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to prevent recurring problems. Collaborate with development teams to automate network tasks, improve efficiency, and scale infrastructure. Implement network monitoring and alerting systems for proactive performance management. Maintain comprehensive documentation of network systems and incident procedures. Serve as the escalation point for complex network issues, supporting junior team members. Research and evaluate emerging networking technologies and best practices. Qualifications: Technical Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in network administration, with expertise in complex network environments. Hands-on experience with low-latency, high-availability network systems, especially in finance or trading sectors. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Bash for automation. Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform. Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, multicast) and hardware (routers, switches, firewalls). Experience with network performance tuning and optimization. Operational Skills: Proven ability to manage network incidents effectively, including diagnosis and resolution. Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, and alerting systems. Strong knowledge of network performance tuning techniques. Communication and Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ownership mindset and proactive, results-oriented approach. Work Environment: This hybrid role offers flexible scheduling, including occasional visits to datacenters in Seacaucus, New Jersey. Based in the U.S., you will be a senior member of a multinational team, with opportunities to travel to our global offices and headquarters on the French Riviera. You will lead network improvements and influence our leading-edge, low-latency trading infrastructure.
