Job Description
Dallas Chinese Fellowship Church (DCFC) is seeking a Youth Pastor/Director with a passion for guiding middle school and high school students—and their families—on their faith journey with Jesus Christ. This role involves connecting with predominantly Asian American students to teach, challenge, and encourage them in their walk with God, helping them establish their identity and purpose in Christ. The Youth Pastor/Director will equip students to take ownership of their faith and contextualize the gospel so they are inspired to display God’s love in meaningful ways. This includes fostering a safe, structured environment where students can grow spiritually within the context of their families. The goal is to nurture resilient disciples who stand boldly for their faith in the face of temptation and peer pressure. Requirements
A steadfast love for Christ and a genuine passion for students and families A consistent example of Christ’s love in both word and deed Ability to cast vision effectively and delegate tasks well Experience and skill in discipling both students and families Strong organizational and administrative abilities Proven leadership, teaching, and equipping skills Sound biblical knowledge and application Effective communication across various mediums with students and ministry partners Ability to work collaboratively with pastors, elders, church staff, and ministry co-workers Strong fluency in English for teaching and communicating with American youth Master’s degree from an accredited seminary (or in process) preferred, but NOT required Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (speaking and listening) preferred, but NOT required Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and oversee all youth activities Develop curriculum for youth group, Sunday School, and special events Teach and lead youth group gatherings and events (average 60-70 youth attendance) Organize and lead special events, mission trips, camps, retreats, and fellowships Train, disciple, and develop young adult and college-age counselors to lead and mentor youth Partner with parents to equip them in guiding their children’s spiritual growth Develop and manage the annual youth ministry budget, ensuring proper expense procedures Participate in weekly pastoral staff meetings Application Process
