About the role
We are currently seeking a Sr. Financial Management Analyst/Consultant to support Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications,Computersand Intelligence (PEO C4I) /NAVWARCommand clients in San Diego, CA. Our consultants work directly with government clients to support complex financial Planning, Programming, Budgeting, Execution (PPBE), and programmatic issues. The Sr. Financial Management Analyst/Consultant position requirespreviousrelated professional experience of four (4) to seven (7) years and a desire to work in consulting and finance.This position will be working with a team of consultants, as well as independent direct tasking and communication with clients on adaily basis.Ourfinancial managementsupport covers a range of services,to includedevelopment of Department of Defense (DoD) budgets and execution of annual financialspendplan requirements. We are looking for candidates that are available to begin supportimmediately.
This position will provide specialized experience in performing accounting andfinancial managementsupport with management oversight/supervision. General accounting activities includeaccount analysis/reconciliation, monthly variance analysis and analytics, financialtracking,reporting,budgetingand forecasting activities. This positionis responsible forcompiling and analyzing financial information and advising clientsregardingkey financial and operational issues.
Senior Financial Management Analyst/Consultant responsibilities include:
Direct and manage workload across multiple clients and support analysts
Enter financial data into government approved systems for obligation and procurement (such as Navy Enterprise Resource Planning or Standard Procurement System, or any follow-on systems)
Prepares budget preparations, review estimates, and track costs and variances
Measure organizational performance and assess effects of programs and policies on the budget
Examine past and current budgets and research economic and financial developments that affect the organization’s spending
Adhere to guidelines and policies governing the formulation and maintenance of budgets
Manage finances across multiple funding types and coordinate with various stakeholders
Conduct financial reporting and analyses on financial issues and customer requirements and produce executive summaries
Develop and propose courses of actions (COAs) and recommendations for financial issues
Interpret and applyfinancial managementprinciples, processes, techniques, policies, regulations, and organizational strategic goals
