EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school graduate plus additional training. Experience with MAC and/or PC computers and Powerschool web-based program. Experience with word processing, spreadsheets and database software. Ability to use and maintain office machines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meet and greet students daily. Answers telephones, responds to routine questions, sets appointments or routes calls to appropriate persons. Assist with mailings. Process enrollments and changes into student database. Distribute student attendance information to staff. Verify absences by contacting parent. Administer care to students when ill, contact parents, etc. Compile state mandated immunization records. Input & print progress reports and grades. Receives visitors, new parents, and students; answering questions; resolving student concerns. Handle monies for student fundraising Maintain and update school calendar. Prepare various reports. Maintain school/student records. Assist with count day preparation. Coordinate registration process. Back up Support for counselors. Regular and reliable attendance. Other duties may be assigned. This is a full time position, requiring regular reliable and predictable attendance on site to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Communicate effectively and present information both in oral and in written form
REASONING ABILITY: Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of statistical information and data related to student achievement.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Interact with public and other staff as required. Apply knowledge of current replicated research and techniques related to sensory issues.
