Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced
Epic Consultant specializing in Prelude
to join our healthcare IT team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with hospital systems, particularly in
patient registration, scheduling, and front-end workflows
within the Epic environment. This role requires deep knowledge of
Epic Prelude , hands-on implementation experience, and expertise in integrating Epic modules with hospital systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expertise in
Epic Prelude
for patient registration, scheduling, and front-end workflows. Work closely with hospital stakeholders, including IT, clinical, and operational teams, to optimize Epic Prelude workflows. Configure and customize Epic Prelude functionality based on hospital requirements. Support Epic Prelude implementations, upgrades, and optimizations. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Epic Prelude and integrated hospital systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve
registration, scheduling, and patient access workflows . Conduct
training sessions
for end users and hospital staff to ensure seamless system adoption. Ensure compliance with
HIPAA
and hospital policies when handling patient data. Assist in testing, validation, and go-live support for Epic Prelude implementations. Provide
ongoing production support
and system enhancements based on hospital needs. Required Qualifications:
3+ years
of experience working with
Epic Prelude
in a hospital or healthcare system. Epic Prelude certification
is
highly preferred . Strong understanding of
hospital workflows , patient registration, and scheduling processes. Experience with
Epic integrations , including working with ADT (Admission, Discharge, Transfer) systems. Hands-on experience with
Epic implementation, upgrades, and optimizations . Ability to troubleshoot and resolve Epic Prelude issues efficiently. Knowledge of
HL7 interfaces
and healthcare interoperability is a plus. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with hospital teams. Experience working in
large hospital systems
or
healthcare provider organizations
is highly preferred. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with
Epic Cadence
(Scheduling) or other Epic modules. Knowledge of revenue cycle processes in hospital settings. Experience in
Epic Reporting Workbench
and
Crystal Reports . Understanding of hospital IT security and compliance standards.
