1st will be 1 hour with the tech leads 2nd will be finalists meeting for 30 minutes with the RTM and tech leads
Job Description: In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Specialty Software Engineering. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale, or longer-term Specialty Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
Required Skills: Lead or participate in complex initiatives in financial services domain. Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices. Assure quality, security and compliance for supported systems and applications. Provide technical support, advice, and consultation with the issues relating to supported applications. Create test data and conduct interfaces and unit tests. Understand and participate to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives. Assist other individuals in advanced software development. Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals. Works in Risk Insight, a data warehouse that aggregates market risk data downstream from the Risk Simulation system. Have heavy reliance on SSIS to integrate data, but looking to modernize to Python. Use SQL and stored procedures to transform data. Need optimized way of storing and retrieving data. A small portion of the app is a front end built in Angular, will probably be built out more in the future. A new requirement of the app is also being fulfilled in the cloud.
About 4 developers on-site and 3 offshore. This person will have to wear different hats on a smaller team. Will be used for existing BAU technology while team members are reassigned to re-designing the systems. 2-3 year timeline.
Three biggest components of the typical day are: Get continuous requirements from the business to upgrade the systems, Any special projects that come through, Patches to the technology.
Working 2 week sprints. Would typically have 3-4 stories spread between minor adjustments to the platform or walking through technology data items. Will collaborate with the team on daily morning Scrum meetings. Will stand behind the solutions that they have built.
