Mytra
About MytraWe're creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We're applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for this $1T market. We're focused on the supply chain industry first. The industry is in a massive bind with the continued growth of e-commerce, sharp rise in costs, and supply chain disruptions. What has been a "sleepy" industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy.Material Planner & Production SchedulerRole OverviewMytra's factory team is looking for an experienced Material Planner & Production Scheduler to help build and scale our manufacturing operations and carry us along our R&D Builds. We are a fast-growing robotics start-up focused on developing cutting-edge automation solutions for warehouse and industrial applications. Our products combine precision hardware, embedded systems, and AI-driven software, requiring seamless coordination across engineering, production, and supply chain. As the Material Planner & Production Scheduler, you will be responsible for ensuring timely availability of materials and components to support our build schedules. You will develop and maintain production plans, monitor inventory levels, coordinate with suppliers and internal teams, and mitigate any material constraints that could impact production. This role is key to ensuring the smooth execution of new product builds and sustained production ramps.Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial Planning & Procurement CoordinationTranslate build forecasts and BOMs into material requirementsCreate and manage purchase requisitions or MRP ordersTrack supplier lead times, deliveries, and open orders to ensure on-time material availabilityMonitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excessesIdentify potential supply chain risks (i.e. : long lead items, quality issues) and escalate to x-functional teams to develop mitigation plansUse data analytics to forecast demand trends and optimize inventory levelsProduction Scheduling & CoordinationDevelop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with customer commitments and resource capacityCollaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to prioritize builds and resolve constraintsTrack work orders, build progress, and production performance metricsGenerate and present regular reports on inventory health, material availability, and production readiness.New Product IntroductionCoordinate with our Programs team, Warehouse team, and Manufacturing on new product introduction and engineering change controlPlan production cut-ins of ECOs and manage obsolescence with our warehouse teamCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with engineering during design changes, ECNs, and pilot buildsSupport new product introduction (NPI) planning by securing long-lead parts and working with proto suppliersInterface with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely kitting and material stagingSystems & Process ManagementMaintain planning parameters (safety stock, reorder points, min/max) in ERP or MRP systemsIdentify and implement process improvements to streamline planning, reduce waste, and support scalingParticipate in ERP upgrades or WMS integrations as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field3+ years experience in materials planning and/or production scheduling, ideally in a hardware start-up or complex manufacturing environmentExperience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., ION, NetSuite, Odoo, SAP, Oracle, etc.)Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret BOMs, demand forecasts, and capacity dataExcellent communication and cross-functional coordination skillsAbility to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving start-up environmentKnowledge of robotics, electromechanical assemblies, or low-to-mid volume manufacturing is a plusThe Ideal CandidateYou are excited about working on an immature project, growing together, and shaping the future of the company.Familiarity with lean manufacturing and just-in-time (JIT) inventory practicesExposure to rapid prototyping and NPI processesYou can convey complex ideas and technical concepts to a diverse audience.Uncertainty isn't scary, and you're willing to realize mistakes and pivot.Openness, inquisitiveness, and constant ambition are important values.APICS CPIM or similar certificationProficiency in Excel, Smartsheet, or planning toolsThe pay range for this role is:110,000 - 140,000 USD per year (Mytra, Inc.)
