SUMMARY Paragon Professional Services LLC a company within the BSNC family is currently seeking a qualified Repository Attendant for the Southeast Mine Residential Remediation Project covering Madison and St Francios Counties, Missouri. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned. • Skills and willingness to perform labor duties on an environmental remediation site – Collecting and signing of load tickets, maintain log-sheets, lifting and moving materials by hand, spotting for heavy equipment and trucks, sweeping and cleaning, etc. • Maintain a safe work area. • Communicate and work with the Project Support staff – QCM, SSHO, Superintendent. • Communicate and professionally represent the Employer with property owners and the public. QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications • Entry Level (preferred 1+ years of demonstratable experience working on Hazardous Waste Sites). • Has completed the OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training. • Has a current 8-hour Annual HAZWOPER Refresher training. • Has completed a 10-hour OSHA Construction Safety Course. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics • Ability to complete and file paperwork in an organized and legible form. • Skills & experience in using hand tools – hammers, sledgehammers, shovels, picks, brooms, wheelbarrows, etc. • Skills & experience in completing small repair tasks – removing/reinstalling chain link fence, brick pavers, shrubs and flowers, etc. NECESSARY PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Essential and marginal functions require maintaining physical condition necessary for lifting, bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of time is spent outdoors with frequent opportunity to move about. DOT COVERED/SAFETY-SENSITIVE ROLE REQUIREMENTS • This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The job is performed in an outdoor setting with exposure to all weather conditions – rain, snow, cold and hot temperatures.Requires limited driving during each shift.The work schedule will require working more than 8-hours per shift, nominally working Monday through Friday, work on weekends will be occasionally required.The job requires the use of smart phones, cameras, tablets, in the field.The use of personal protective equipment is required – hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes, safety vests, respirators, hearing protection, chemical protective equipment, etc.A laborer position requires heavy exertion and the lifting of heavy loads. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES • No supervisory responsibility. ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations. A pre-employment and annual HAZWOPER physical are required along with a physician’s determination that the employee can work on a hazardous waste site and wear personal protective equipment, as required.
