Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The Media Operations Specialist will perform a variety of media operations tasks in support of NBC Sports, Bay Area. These tasks will encompass Media Ingest, Records, Live Streaming, Quality Control, and Media Asset Management as well as basic support functions for the Newsroom Content System.

    Record / Ingest Content into servers

    Set up live shots for newscasts/shows

    Quality control video and audio signals for live productions

    Monitor and fulfill media ingest requests

    Monitor/Manage archive workflows

    Monitor/Manage server storage space

    Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

n
    n
  • n

    Associate or Bachelor's degree, certificate or equivalent work experience.

    n

  • n

    Minimum of 3 years of experience working in multi-media, video, sound-music, television production environment & projects

  • n

    Fundamental understanding of Audio/Video signal flow

    n
  • n
  • n

    Basic time management skills working under tight deadlines

  • n
  • n

    Strong attention to detail

    n
  • n
  • n

    Excellent communication skills, verbal, and messaging

    Working knowledge of video/audio file formats

    Basic video editing a plus
