Production PlannerLocation: Meriden, CTShift: First ShiftPay: $26.50 - $29.00 per hour (based on experience)Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Planner to perform analytical, technical, and administrative duties to ensure the availability of all material requirements for manufacturing. This role provides direction to expediters, manufacturing supervisors, and purchasing on planning decisions, priorities, material procurement, and related functions.EPICOR experience is preferred.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare production schedules and distribute to supervisors.Analyze raw material inventory needs and order materials to meet customer requirements while minimizing cost.Release purchase requisitions in a timely manner to allow sufficient lead time.Monitor raw material inventory and establish reorder points to prevent workflow interruptions.Plan and schedule workflow for each department and operation based on established sequences and lead times.Collaborate with manufacturing supervisors to develop department capacity levels and efficiently load the manufacturing floor.Maintain and update status reports related to production plans.Exercise independent judgment in high-visibility customer situations to negotiate and meet requirements with available resources.Contact suppliers and shippers to ensure timely delivery of merchandise, supplies, and equipment.Notify customers promptly of any anticipated delays and establish revised due dates.Maintain databases for order entry, schedule changes, shipments, and material releases into work-in-process systems.Perform other duties as assigned.Pay Details: $26.50 to $29.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
