We are seeking a certified, state licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist needed in an out-patient IAC accredited nuclear cardiology department in Pinellas County, Fl. Must have excellent technical and professional judgment and strong independent working skills. We use state-of-the-art cameras such as Siemens C. Cam GE Myospect Premium and GE Discovery 710 64 slice PET CT.Work Site: May include Rotating weekly between our 3 locations: 455 Pinellas St, Clearwater, FL, 1840 Mease Dr, Safety Harbor, FL and 8839 Bryan Dairy Rd, Largo, FLWHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.Conduct various nuclear medicine scans, including PET scans, to assist in the diagnosis of medical conditions.Operate imaging equipment and perform quality control checks to ensure accurate results.Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret scan results and provide necessary information for patient care.Maintain detailed records of procedures performed, including patient information and imaging results.Educate patients on the procedures they will undergo, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.Uphold strict adherence to health and safety regulations related to radiation exposure and infection control.QUALIFICATIONS:Proper handling and administration of radiopharmaceuticals per ALARA and state regulationsPerform high quality, diagnostic image acquisition and processing in both our Cardiac Spect and PET CT labsSpect and Pet camera instrumentation and quality controlProper procedural documentation and maintaining of all records required by Florida Department of Health, Radiation controlParticipates in ensuring compliance with applicable regulations including OSHA, NRC and the Florida Department of Health.Maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with practice standards.WHO YOU ARE:NMTCB or ARRT certificationCurrent Florida Nuclear Medicine licensureCT Certification is preferredCurrent BLSPrefer 2 years recent experience as a certified NM technologistExcellent computer skillsIt is the Policy of CVL to ensure equal opportunity to all Team members, applicants or any other covered persons in all employment matters, including but not limited to recruitment, hiring, placement, compensation, benefits, training, promotion, transfer.
