Special Hazards Vehicle Service Technician

Build your career with the industry-leading fire, life safety and security company.A Special Hazard Service Technician will work with Low- and High-Pressure CO2 Fire Suppression Systems, Clean Agent Fire Suppression Systems, Dry Chemical Fire Suppression Systems, and Marine Systems.Pay Range: start at $22 - $24Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Install, program, commission, service, and inspection of vehicle suppression systems.Install conduit, wire, piping, and equipment for assigned fire projects.Execute projects on time and within the allocated installation hours.Read and interpret complicated blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and specifications.Exhibit excellent communication skills with internal support, clients, and subcontractors.Education/Qualification: A high school diploma or equivalent.At least 2 years of experience within Special Hazards.Early warning smoke detection experience.Pre-action detection & control experience.Experience with Clean Agent gas systems.Knowledge of NFPA Requirements.NICET Level I or II (preferred but not required)Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Basic understanding of blueprints, schematics, and other technical specifications.Physical Requirements:Proper hand and power tool operations and safety.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbMust be able to climb ladders, pull cables, and work in confined and high spaces.Benefits and Perks:Excellent payMedical, dental, visionCompany paid life insuranceCompany paid short-term disability401K with employer matchPaid vacation and company holidaysTraining and Career DevelopmentCompany vehicle (if job applicable)Pye-Barker Fire and Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer
