Job Title: Healthcare Customer Support Agent
Location: Kansas City, MO (Onsite with potential to go remote after training/based on proficiency)
Pay Rate: $19/hr
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday (no weekends)
Overview
We are hiring Healthcare Customer Support Agents to join the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) division of a Fortune 5 company. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for members who need help understanding their pharmacy benefit plans.
What you’ll do:
Answer incoming calls from members about prescription coverage, mail order prescriptions, and pharmacy networks.
Assist patients of all ages with questions such as “Is this pharmacy in my network?”
Make coverage determinations and place mail-order pharmacy orders.
Handle mostly inbound calls, with occasional outbound follow-up calls.
Training & Schedule
Training: 6 weeks of paid, onsite training (hands-on learning, modules, and trainer support).
Training hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
After training: Choose from flexible 8-hour shifts starting between 8:00 AM and 12:15 PM.
Note: No time off permitted during the first 6 weeks of training.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
1+ year experience in a fast-paced healthcare call center (inbound/outbound calls)
6+ months specifically in a healthcare call center environment
Computer proficiency with Windows-based applications
Strong customer service skills, professionalism, and phone etiquette
Other Details
Role starts onsite but may transition to remote based on performance.
Contracts are initially 5 months, with potential for direct hire around Feb/March.
