Senior Professional, Architecture

WSP in the U.S. This position provides technical assistance and guidance for multi-site/phase due diligence, planning, concept development, restoration, alteration, extension, and implementation of creative, functional, and sustainable building designs and/or construction projects in both public and private sectors. Responsibilities include visualizing projects, preparing drawings, specifications, budgets, and construction documents, developing and presenting design proposals, and managing client relationships. The role also involves substantiating reports and documentation regarding materials, installations, feasibility, and construction technology specifications, ensuring quality standards are met or exceeded. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed drawings showing external and internal appearances and structures of building projects. Collect, compile, and analyze data from various sources such as surveys, blueprints, GIS data, environmental data, and more for project development. Conduct research and inspections of site conditions, resources, and existing structures to ensure compliance with applicable rules and standards. Develop building construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates, coordinating with stakeholders. Incorporate advanced modeling techniques and design strategies to ensure safety, functionality, and future-readiness of projects. Work independently or as part of a team to execute multiple projects, including layout, material selection, and timeline management. Verify site and structural characteristics, providing technical guidance on structural integrity. Create visualizations and reports for data interpretation and presentation. Maintain quality control standards in measurements, illustrations, and documentation. Assist with project scoping and development, and mentor entry-level architects. Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations. Conduct research on design and construction issues, assessing feasibility and environmental impacts. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and interact professionally with agencies, subcontractors, and clients. Stay current with architectural techniques and practices. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on various projects. Adhere to ethical standards and company policies. Perform additional duties as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related field. 5-7 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in architectural principles, practices, and software (AutoCAD, REVIT, SketchUp, etc.). Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and sustainability practices. Strong visualization, technical, and communication skills. Project management experience with small to mid-sized projects. Ability to lead and mentor junior staff. Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in teams, with attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree. Professional licensure or certification.
