Senior Software Engineer

Description Altamira Technologies is seeking Senior Software Engineers to join our world-class Space Systems engineering team in Denver, CO. As a candidate for this opportunity, you should have a solid foundation in object-oriented software development and experience working in a Linux or UNIX environment. Candidates should have a demonstrable understanding of software principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering, including the software development lifecycle, design patterns, and object-oriented analysis, design, and programming. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance is required. Required Skills: Relevant experience in Java and/or C++ development for high-performance systems Experience developing complex software solutions in a Java environment Experience with TypeScript, Spring Boot, React, or Vue Knowledge of NoSQL databases API design and development in Java, Go, or Rust (Java preferred) Development of serverless and/or containerized software Experience with automated testing Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines Experience working in Agile development teams Experience with continuous integration methodologies and automated testing Desired Skills: Java software experience Security+ Certification is a plus Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Full-stack development with cloud deployment experience Cloud experience and AWS developer certification, including EC2, S3, Security Groups Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python Experience with DevSecOps tools (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Git, etc.) Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, Chef, or similar Database knowledge and familiarity (e.g., MongoDB, Postgres) is a plus Education & Experience Requirements: 8-12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics), or 4-8 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in a STEM discipline. The salary range for these positions in Colorado is $90,000 to $225,000, depending on responsibilities, experience, education, certifications, and clearance requirements.
