Position Summary
Reporting to the Vice President (IT), the Director of IT Application SAP Logistics will design and implement IT strategies. This position will Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business needs, company goals, and employee capabilities. Leading Global Ag and farm management solutions, Transportation, and Extended warehouse management enterprise solutions, including DocuSign, Specification Management (Spec right), EDI, and Barcode center of excellence within IT. Evaluates the need for new software and system procedures. This position is responsible for preparing progress and budget reports for the Leadership team. They will also coordinate with IT and the appropriate Business teams to identify and solve technical problems. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication, planning, process improvement, and strategic decision-making skills. A proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment will be required for success in this position.
Position Responsibilities
Govern solutions in Ag and farm management, Transportation, Extended warehouse management, DocuSign, EDI, Barcode, Specification Management (Spec right), and other ancillary systems across ofi. Ag & Farming Systems Solutions: Manage farming and field data consistently across the enterprise. Develop a broad crop-independent data model. Enable integration with SAP. Develop a farming cockpit to obtain a map-based farm and field usage overview. Grower Contracts Management Manage Crop Budgets Manage Grower payment calculations by considering deductions & bonuses based on quality and other parameters. Trials management from Farm to plant. Manage analytical Reports. Comingled farmer inventory overview and details Enable farmers to drill into overview lists and details for contracts, deliveries, and settlements. EDI: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of EDI solutions within the SAP environment. Manage EDI mappings, configurations, and data translations to ensure accurate data interchange. Monitor and troubleshoot EDI transactions to ensure data integrity and resolve any issues promptly. Collaborate with business units and IT teams to gather requirements and implement EDI solutions. Ensure EDI processes comply with industry standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and company policies. Serve as the primary contact for EDI-related inquiries and issues from external partners and vendors. Supervise and mentor a team of EDI specialists and analysts. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for EDI systems. Identify opportunities to streamline and improve EDI processes and workflows. EWM: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze warehouse management requirements. Provide expertise in warehouse management processes, including inbound/outbound logistics, inventory management, and order fulfillment. Develop detailed functional specifications and configure the SAP EWM module. Oversee the integration of SAP EWM with other SAP modules and external systems. Manage middleware and interface development as needed. Transportation Management (OTM) Lead the implementation and configuration of SAP TM solutions to meet business requirements. Provide expertise in transportation management processes, including freight planning, carrier selection, and route optimization. Oversee the integration with SAP. Ensure seamless data flow and synchronization between systems. Collaborate with Freight Careers to onboard for automation. Manage DocuSign configuration & implementation, Manage digital signatures, approval workflows, and document storage through DocuSign. Manage Barcode Scanners & Readers, Barcode generation & design, Labels design, and mobile applications. Manage specifications for packaging using Spec Right & ensure compliance with relevant standards. Liaise with Global process owners to adopt best business practices/processes. Participate in regional & global operation meetings to understand their priorities and ensure IT initiatives are aligned. Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the Ag & Farming domain. Manage resources, timelines, and project risks. Proactively research and recommend new products/software based on business needs. Ensure reports meet user needs by managing reporting requirements and tools. Facilitate routine meetings to discuss strategic goals and progress. Providing technical expertise and guidance to team members throughout project lifecycles. Act as Functional Lead in evaluating, estimating, planning, and developing initiatives by leading or supporting the initiatives based on the scope established with the Business and project teams. Manage Talent acquisition & Training. Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field Experience is S/4HANA is mandatory. Previous experience in the manufacturing industry is strongly preferred. Twenty (20) years of experience with SAP Logistics with numerous end-to-end implementation projects is required. Proven ability to design, configure, and troubleshoot complex processes and interfaces within a global manufacturing and supply chain network. Must possess excellent knowledge in the following areas: Proven experience in software development and project management, preferably in the agribusiness sector Strong understanding of agricultural processes, technologies, and challenges Extensive experience in SAP EDI configuration and management Strong understanding of EDI standards and protocols (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) Proficiency in SAP modules and related EDI tools Good Exposure to EDI IDOCS Knowledge of industry-specific barcode standards (e.g., GS1) Proficiency in using and configuring barcode scanners and readers. Experience with barcode printers and printing software. Knowledge of label design software (e.g., BarTender, NiceLabel) Extensive experience in SAP EWM configuration and implementation Strong understanding of warehouse management processes and best practices Strong understanding of transportation management processes and best practices Proficiency in other SAP modules (e.g., SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP EWM) to manage Transportation. Proficiency in setting up and configuring DocuSign accounts and environments. Knowledge of DocuSign REST and SOAP APIs for integrating DocuSign with other applications Understanding of digital signature standards and regulations (e.g., eIDAS, ESIGN Act, UETA) Extensive experience in enhancements and interfaces with external systems. SAP ABAP Dictionary Understanding Experience in BI/Tableau/Power BI reporting. Strong skills in Excel (able to perform all basic functions such as Pivots, V-lookup, and formulas) are required. Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills are required. The ability to be adaptable, capable, self-motivated, and confident is required.

The pay for this role ranges from $167,000 - $223,000 and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location. Actual pay within this range may be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or other determining factors.
