Chief Financial Officer Opportunity
Are you a strategic financial leader ready to make a lasting impact? A well-established, community-focused credit union is seeking an experienced
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
to join its executive leadership team. This is a high-impact role with the opportunity to guide and innovate across all financial operations of a trusted financial institution. As CFO, you will partner closely with the President/CEO to shape the organization’s financial future. You’ll lead a talented team, oversee core financial functions, and serve as a key voice in executive decision-making. We’re looking for a forward-thinking, collaborative leader with deep expertise in financial services who can balance strategic vision with operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Direct the credit union’s investment portfolio, cash management, ALM tools, budget forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
Oversee all accounting operations, including GL systems, ACH, member wires, and share draft processing.
Strengthen financial controls, procedures, staff development, and regulatory compliance.
Lead credit and debit card back-office operations along with digital services platforms such as bill pay and ATM/check image networks.
Serve as primary liaison with regulatory bodies and external auditors.
Support strategic planning initiatives while ensuring timely communication with the CEO and Board on all financial matters.
Qualifications: Qualifications What We’re Looking For: Experience:
8–10 years of progressive leadership experience in finance, within a credit union or financial institution. Credit Union preferred. Education:
Bachelor’s degree; CPA or Master’s degree a plus. Leadership:
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams, motivate others, and drive operational excellence. Technical Skills:
Proficient in GAAP, ALM tools, and financial software; strong command of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and industry systems like TranZact. What You’ll Bring: A strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability. Comfort making presentations to leadership and board members. An analytical approach to complex financial challenges. Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented attitude. Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
