Control Engineer

Join a top manufacturer in the automotive industry. They are seeking a high-performing Controls Engineer to join their dynamic team in Chicago. Responsibilities Develop and Optimize Processes – Design, implement, and improve automated manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and ensure consistent production quality. Program, Maintain, and Troubleshoot Equipment – Write, test, and update PLC, HMI, and robotics programming; maintain control systems; and resolve technical issues to minimize disruptions in plant operations. Design and Integrate Electronic Controls – Engineer and implement electronic control systems for new and existing machinery, ensuring seamless integration with plant equipment and production lines. Drive Plant Improvements and Compliance – Lead initiatives to upgrade manufacturing systems, improve plant performance, and ensure all equipment and processes meet regulatory and safety standards. Vendor and Stakeholder Collaboration – Negotiate with vendors and contractors for control system components, manage technical specifications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cost-effective and reliable solutions.
