Job Description We are seeking a Senior Financial Management Analyst/Consultant to support the Department of Navy and NAVWAR in Washington, D.C., near the Washington Navy Yard. This position is onsite at the Washington Navy Yard. The role involves working directly with government clients on complex financial Planning, Programming, Budgeting, Execution (PPBE), and programmatic issues. Candidates should have at least 7 years of relevant experience and a desire to work in consulting and finance. The position involves collaborating with a team of consultants and direct communication with clients daily. Our financial management services include developing DoD budgets and managing annual financial spend plans. The role involves specialized accounting and financial management, including account analysis, variance analysis, financial tracking, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The analyst will compile and analyze financial data and advise clients on key financial and operational issues. Responsibilities: Enter financial data into government-approved systems for obligation and procurement Assist in budget preparations, review estimates, and track costs and variances Assess organizational performance and the impact of programs and policies on the budget Research economic and financial developments affecting spending Follow guidelines for budget formulation and maintenance Manage finances across multiple funding types and coordinate with stakeholders Conduct financial reporting and analysis, producing executive summaries Develop courses of action and recommendations for financial issues Interpret and apply financial management principles, regulations, and organizational goals Desired Skills and Experience: Applicants should demonstrate effective communication, teamwork, ability to perform under pressure, and quick learning of new processes and systems. Proficiency in Excel is required, with experience in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and Access database strongly desired. Experience with the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) System is also preferred. We seek energetic, dedicated consultants eager to join our team. Qualification Requirements: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance, or TS/SCI clearance for supporting TS/SCI programs Advanced MS Excel skills Experience with data visualization tools Seven or more years of Navy/DoD financial management or relevant consulting experience Experience with government finance, NAVWAR systems, and PPBE process (preferred) Ability to multi-task, attention to detail, and work in fast-paced environments Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and in teams Position is full-time with benefits, salary range $95,000-$130,000, and less than 10% travel. Location: Washington, D.C., onsite, Monday-Friday. Security Clearance Note: Employment requires an active security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.
