Digital Marketing Coordinator
Audience Strategy & Community will provide day-to-day support for digital community engagement efforts across the @Disney and @WaltDisneyStudios social platforms. Reporting to the Manager and working in partnership with other team members, this role will assist in the execution of fan-first initiatives, including engagement opportunity sourcing, asset coordination, copy development, and other projects as assigned. This role is ideal for an early-career professional eager to contribute to storytelling at scale and help shape how Disney connects with its global fan community through digital platforms. Job Responsibilities: Under the guidance of a Manager, this role’s responsibilities include supporting Disney and Franchise handles in the following ways: Draft Social Copy: Write engaging, on-brand copy for social posts, engagement replies, and editorial moments across platforms in collaboration with Specialists and Managers
Route Assets for Approval: Coordinate internal asset reviews, ensuring all creative is routed to appropriate stakeholders (e.g., Brand, Legal, Franchise, and Clearances), tracking feedback and approvals efficiently
Calendar Support: Assist with the maintenance and documentation of daily engagement publishing calendars, helping to ensure alignment across brand priorities and platform strategies
Engagement Opportunity Assessment: Source, evaluate and recommend fan engagement opportunities and UGC moments that reflect brand voice and align with ongoing initiatives
Social Trends Monitoring: Identify and flag relevant platform trends, fan behaviors, and digital moments that may inform community engagement and platform strategy
Meeting Support: Take clear, actionable notes during team and cross-functional meetings to support communication and project follow-through
Data Entry & Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate data logs for content performance, paid and organic initiatives, and community engagement metrics
Folder & Drive Organization: Ensure assets, strategy docs, calendars, and copy decks are well-organized across internal drives to support team efficiency and collaboration
Digital Trends and Platform Updates: Stay abreast of digital trends and platform updates to inform strategy and execution
Collaborate with pod leadership on compilation of any updates to key partners
Asset Management: Route all assets to the necessary stakeholders for internal approvals (Legal, Clearances, Brands & Franchise, etc.) and clearly communicate feedback to ensure content meets business standards
Deliver all final approved assets and copy to relevant partners while ensuring that publishing timing and tagging of content is aligned to the wider marketing plans as well as reporting needs
Basic Qualifications: 1+ years of experience or internship in digital marketing, social media, entertainment, or related fields
Knowledge and appreciation for the Disney brand, Core Franchises (Mickey & Friends, The Disney Princesses) and Walt Disney Studios titles
strong understanding of various social communities, platforms and best practices
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to maintain order in digital filing systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and social media management tools
Creative thinking and a passion for staying updated on industry trends and innovations in social media marketing
Excellent writing skills with the ability to translate traditional marketing content into engaging and brand relevant conversations
Passion for storytelling, listening to what the community has to say
Basic understanding of digital analytics and performance tracking
Ability to be nimble and adapt quickly to new technologies and processes
Passion, appreciation, and knowledge of Disney movies, Disney+ series, shorts, and characters
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google Suite, and Box
Understanding of Social Media platforms required such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tik Tok
Strong attention to detail and ability to use sound judgement
BA or BS in Journalism, Film, Marketing, and/or relevant field, or 5+ years of experience
Familiarity with Disney brand and content
Familiarity with Disney+ platform
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with CRM tools – AirTable, Smartsheets, and/or Zendesk preferred
Experience in Sprinklr, Creator Studio, Keynote, Google Slides,

The hiring range for this position in California is $53,300.00 to $71,300.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
