Position Summary:Wilmington Machinery is seeking a hands-on, mechanically and electrically skilled Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain injection molding and blow molding equipment at customer facilities. This role requires extensive travel, problem-solving under pressure, and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities: Install and commission new molding machinery at customer sites. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and PLC-related issues on equipment in the field. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs according to manufacturer guidelines. Train customers on machine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures. Document all service calls and repairs accurately and timely. Serve as a technical liaison between customers and engineering teams. Provide feedback on equipment performance and field failures to drive design improvements. Maintain tools, parts inventory, and travel readiness.

Qualifications: Technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience. 3+ years of hands-on experience with injection and/or blow molding machinery. Proficient in electrical schematics, PLC troubleshooting (preferably Allen-Bradley), hydraulics, and pneumatics. Comfortable reading mechanical drawings and machine assembly schematics. Must be able to travel 70%+ including internationally, sometimes on short notice. Strong communication and customer service skills. Must be self-directed, organized, and able to work independently. Valid drivers license and passport required.

Preferred: Prior experience with Wilmington Machinery equipment a plus. Experience in plastic processing and mold setup is advantageous. Knowledge of servo systems, VFDs, and safety systems (e.g., ISO 13849-1) is desirable.
