What You’ll Do: As a
WIC Program Nutritionist , you’ll empower families with the tools and knowledge to thrive—providing critical nutrition care to
pregnant/postpartum
individuals, infants, and children. Join a mission-driven team where your expertise directly impacts health equity in underserved communities. Direct Care Assess nutritional risk through
dietary evaluations,
anthropometric/hematological
data , and tailor
WIC food packages . Provide
1:1 counseling
and group education on breastfeeding, healthy eating, and chronic disease prevention. Connect participants to
health/social services
and track follow-up care. Program Development & Outreach Co-create
culturally responsive educational materials
and lead workshops. Assist in training WIC staff and conduct
quality assurance audits . Collaborate with healthcare providers to address participant needs. Team Support Step in to support low-risk caseloads as needed. Uphold WIC policies and state/federal guidelines.
What You Bring: Education:
Bachelor’s in Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition, or related field ( Master’s/RD/LDN preferred ). Experience:
1+ year in clinical/community nutrition ( WIC experience a plus ). Skills:
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
strongly preferred. Ability to interpret lab data and translate nutrition science into actionable guidance. Compassion for diverse populations (low-income families, BIPOC communities).
