Boston UVC is the largest youth club volleyball organization in the New England region. Our mission is to empower youth athletes through the sport of volleyball. Read more about our programs here.
Qualified candidates will be coaching and providing direction to student-athletes within our club program so that they can develop the skills, behaviors, and attitudes to become successful students and athletes.
You have a background in sports and are passionate about helping student-athletes reach their potential. With a talent for building communication, skill, and motivation in student teams, you are able to provide effective group and individual instruction to create exceptional experiences to help students grow.
Responsibilities: Plan, organize, and conduct practices Provide training direction, encouragement, motivation, and nutritional advice to prepare athletes for games and competitive events Adjust coaching techniques based on individual athletes Build an engaging and safe environment for all student-athletes Attend all practices and tournaments Attend all practices and tournaments prepared Provide a positive learning environment for athletes and coaches Educate athletes with proper feedback Communicate with players and parents/guardians about
practice/tournament
schedule via parent group chat and email Communicate respectfully with staff and administrators Qualification s: High school degree or higher Successful coaching or teacher leadership experience preferred Exemplary presentation and facilitation skills Background in sports (athletics, fitness, physical education, etc.) Must be able to travel for tournaments. Travel varies on team assignments. Must pass a background check Must complete the required sexual misconduct, physical harassment, and concussion protocol courses prior to start of job
