About the Role: The Shipping & Receiving Clerk plays a crucial role in our business by ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring that products are delivered to the correct locations in a timely manner. The clerk will work closely with various departments to coordinate shipping schedules and resolve any discrepancies that may arise. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to prevent errors and ensure a smooth workflow. Ultimately, the Shipping & Receiving Clerk contributes to the overall success of the manufacturing process by facilitating the movement of goods and materials. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in safely operating a forklift. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role within a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with inventory management software. Responsibilities: Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, documenting any discrepancies or damages. Prepare outgoing shipments by packing products securely and labeling them correctly for delivery. Safely operate a forklift to move materials and products within the warehouse and loading dock areas. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in regular stock counts to ensure inventory levels are up to date. Collaborate with team members and other departments to coordinate shipping schedules and resolve any logistical issues. Organize and maintain inventory storage areas at or above standards. Provide additional support to the team on an as needed basis. Skills: The ability to safely operate a forklift is essential for the Shipping & Receiving Clerk, as it allows for the efficient movement of goods within the warehouse. Attention to detail is critical when inspecting incoming shipments and preparing outgoing orders, ensuring that all products meet quality standards. Strong organizational skills are necessary to maintain accurate inventory records and assist in stock counts.
