Cashier at the Aquarium of The Pacific
Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Cashier at the Aquarium of The Pacific. This position is responsible for the overall accurate accounting of all transactions, including inventory management and cash handling. Duties and responsibilities include: Maintains accurate accounting of all cash and inventory at the assigned concession stand. Performs location worker assignments. Stands for long periods of time. Maintains safe working conditions and sanitary work area for employees. Plans for daily sales flow based on projections. Plans for peak hour sales and makes change requirements known to the Food & Beverage Manager. Organizes paperwork including cashier physical inventory stand sheets, meal sheets, spoilage reports, and cash slips. Verifies the correct item prices according to the menu. Stocks and restocks products upon delivery to the location. Monitors proper recording of employees' meals and meal vouchers (if applicable). Maintains accurate cash handling procedures at all times. Follows all rules and regulations of Food and Beverage operations. Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor. Maintains a clean, safe working environment. Complies with transfer and requisition, cash handling, and purchasing policies and procedures. Must have a valid California Food Handler Card and RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) Certificate. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications: Must have basic working knowledge of cash registers and cash handling procedures. Must have sufficient math ability to accurately count and handle money. Must have basic working knowledge of concession/cafeteria operations. Must be able to follow directions and perform the work effectively. Must have a pleasant personality and neat appearance. Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and employees. Skills and abilities: Positive, customer service-oriented attitude at all times. Strong knowledge of sanitary practices. Maintains proper grooming and dress code standards. Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency and attention to quality in a team environment. Ability to work with other staff members in the facility. Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks. Attention to detail. Other qualifications: Requires the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours. Physical demands: Regularly required to move around the facility, stand for long periods during events, talk, and hear. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events. This position requires stooping and lifting. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs to the waist.
