Sr. Software Development Engineer in Test

Pay range: $51.60 - 61.60 Plus health, dental, vision, short-term/long-term disability, and group life insurance pending eligibility. Responsibilities: Design, develop, execute, and maintain software to test the product/application. Define automation strategy, create automation cases, and design tools for unit, functional, and performance testing. Participate in design and code inspections. Propose process improvements and build automated tools, libraries, and utilities to enhance team speed, quality, and efficiency. Write testing code that exposes defects in production-level code and component/feature integration. Work across technologies from front-end UI to back-end web services. Own the design and implementation of end-to-end tests for major deliverables, collaborating with multiple engineers and teams. Integrate tests and infrastructure automation into CI/CD pipelines. Contribute to agile teams following 12 Factor app principles. Collaborate effectively within the team environment. Qualifications: 5 to 7 years of experience in IT with expertise in test automation of UI and API applications. Hands-on experience with automated UI and API testing in Java, JavaScript, C#, Python using libraries like Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured. Proficiency in OOP languages (Java, C#) and scripting languages (Python, Perl, Shell, Bash). Experience with API and microservices testing and automation. Knowledge of TDD and BDD frameworks like Cucumber, JBehave. Experience with SQL, Oracle, MySQL, NoSQL databases like Cassandra, MongoDB. Experience deploying applications in AWS or OpenShift (Kubernetes). Experience automating backend REST services with tools like Postman, REST Assured, Karate, Cypress. Experience building test automation frameworks using design patterns like Page Object Model. Experience working in distributed agile teams using Scrum, SAFe, XP. Hands-on experience with CI tools like Jenkins, Circle CI. Ability to create and maintain automation test jobs and reports. Ability to adapt quickly to new tools and technologies. Strong communication skills, proactive attitude, and customer focus. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the travel industry. Experience with infrastructure automation (Docker, Chef, Puppet, Terraform). Experience with AWS services like EC2, S3, CloudFormation. Experience with virtualization tools like WireMock, Mockito. Experience with test management tools like VersionOne, qTest. Experience with container orchestration tools like Docker, OpenShift. Experience with non-functional testing (performance, load, stress, security, usability). Skillset: Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, JMeter, SoapUI, REST. Java, Python, JavaScript, VBScript, Gherkin, jQuery, PLSQL, MySQL, NoSQL. AWS EC2, S3, RDS. Experience with Agile development, test plans, and strategies.
