Job Description Quality Inspector – 1st Shift
Location: Pleasant Prairie Pay: $20/hour Schedule: 1st Shift | 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Inspector to join our team on 1st shift. This role ensures that products meet company and client specifications by leading inspections, maintaining quality standards, and providing guidance to production line teams. The ideal candidate will be quality-driven, adaptable, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide direction to QC Inspectors on the production floor when issues occur. Escalate urgent quality concerns to the QC Lab Manager. Verify work orders against product specifications for accuracy and completeness. Conduct inspections of C&S records, components, and bulk materials before line verification; notify supervisors of non-conformances. Ensure accurate line clearance, product approval, and line setup before start-up. Lead line huddles to set expectations and standards for finished goods. Perform in-process and final product inspections per AQL sampling requirements, deeming product pass/reject. Maintain inspection and quality records for in-process and finished goods. Conduct quality audits (spot checks) to ensure compliance after line start-up. Identify, document, and address product quality issues with root cause analysis and corrective actions. Provide quality direction and feedback to line workers. Review Batch Production Records (BPRs) for completeness prior to QA filing. Collect and submit internal and client samples per sampling guidelines. Ensure adherence to company policies, GMPs, and quality standards. Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in a quality control role within manufacturing (cosmetics or pharmaceutical preferred). Previous team lead or leadership experience is a strong asset. Keen attention to detail with a quality-conscious mindset. Strong leadership and communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands. Team-oriented, but capable of working independently. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
