Commercial Organization

Our Commercial team leads global sales and marketing strategies, strengthening BioMarin’s presence worldwide, especially in the US, Europe, Latin America, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.

Position Summary

We seek an experienced leader to serve as the Director, Global CRM Business Lead . This role is vital in shaping the enterprise CRM strategy, aligning engagement with customer experience (CX) goals, and integrating digital data and campaign strategies. Reporting to the Senior Director, Digital Strategy and Capabilities, the director will collaborate with various teams to lead CRM initiatives, innovation, and process improvements across global markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the CRM strategy and roadmap aligned with CX and digital data goals.
  • Business Unit Partnership: Collaborate with therapeutic area leads and digital teams to tailor CRM support and leverage capabilities for customer engagement.
  • Tools Ownership & Omnichannel Integration: Lead management of CRM platforms (Veeva, Salesforce), ensuring adoption, governance, and integration with omnichannel platforms.
  • IT Collaboration & Configuration: Partner with IT to meet business needs and ensure system scalability and upgrades.
  • Field Enablement & Usability: Optimize CRM views, dashboards, and workflows for field teams, enhancing usability and engagement tools.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor CRM metrics, analyze data for insights, and develop performance reports.
  • Stakeholder Management: Work across functions to ensure CRM strategies are integrated and effectively communicated.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, or related; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years in CRM strategy within biotech/pharma or regulated environments; experience with Veeva, Salesforce, and marketing automation tools.

Skills

  • Deep understanding of CRM systems and integration with marketing tools.
  • Knowledge of pharma/life sciences CRM use cases and customer lifecycle management.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project leadership skills.
  • Advocate for efficiency tools like Microsoft Copilot.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with rare disease or specialty pharma marketing.
  • Experience managing complex system integrations and global implementations.
