ICI Services Corporation is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer (Command & Control, Communications, Computer, Cyber and Information (C5I)) to lead our Systems Acquisition, Engineering and Integration, Information Warfare, and In-Service Sustainment services for US Navy customers in San Diego, CA or Washington, DC . The qualified candidate will support organization growth and help ICI provide technical solutions that meet our Navy customers' requirements.
The Senior Principal Engineer will be a key member of our US Navy support team, reporting to the program manager. ICI Services is a 100% Employee-Owned small business celebrating 25 years of delivering superior products and responsive services aligned with customer needs.
Security Clearance:
- Applicant must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance; TOP SECRET preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Support US Navy Science and Technology initiatives focusing on C5I for Small Combatants, Unmanned Vehicles, Sensors, and Weapons Systems.
- Communicate technology strategy and vision to customers, partners, and investors.
- Collaborate with industry, customers, and academia on best practices, ideas, and approaches.
- Research new technologies to increase the company's competitive advantage.
- Assist in developing technical solutions and capabilities for business capture and proposals.
- Assess the company's technological capabilities and oversee their maturation to support customer needs.
- Respond to stakeholders and improve the use of technology resources.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators and metrics.
- Provide guidance and advice on industry best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience delivering solutions for technical challenges in Information Warfare systems, including C4I Systems, Autonomy, Resilient Communications, Platform Cybersecurity, Battlespace Awareness, and Data Management.
- Familiarity with Naval Information Warfare Command (NAVWAR) and Navy Information Warfare Centers (NIWC PAC and LANT), especially NIWC PAC.
- Experience providing technical guidance and thought leadership to executive or flag officer staff.
- Experience defining and establishing technology policies, plans, and programs that drive innovation.
- Support experience with USV/UUV systems, payloads, sensors, mission support systems, autonomy, vehicle control systems, and logistics & sustainment.
- Established relationships supporting US Navy USV, UUV ship, and systems engineering or acquisition efforts.
- Strong career progression in strategic technology solutions within the maritime and Navy contractor markets.
- Knowledge of Science and Technology Programs such as SBIR, STTR, FNC, and APFIT.
Education:
Master’s degree in an Engineering or Technical discipline with 15+ years of relevant experience.
