Gateway Search is conducting an exclusive, retained search for a Product Operations Leader to join our client, a pre-eminent global platform in the short-form video and social media space.

This is a high-impact role at the very core of the user experience, tasked with scaling and refining the content discovery engine for a diverse international user base. You will own the operational strategy that guides millions of users, ensuring a seamless, high-quality, and culturally resonant experience. We seek a bilingual, data-driven leader with deep expertise in content strategy and a proven record of leading global teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end operational strategy for search recommendation scenarios, directly improving the user guidance experience and being accountable for key traffic growth metrics.
• Develop and execute data-driven content and distribution strategies tailored to specific international markets, deepening user engagement and dramatically increasing search adoption rates.
• Partner closely with global content quality and operations teams to establish and enforce content standards, thesaurus policies, and targeted distribution strategies.
• Architect content operation frameworks based on deep market analysis, user behavior, and regional cultural nuances. Drive significant business growth through agile hot topic response and strategic project operations.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing mid-sized team distributed across international hubs, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
• Systematize and scale best-in-class methodologies for international content operations, improving cross-functional efficiency and unlocking new value for the search ecosystem.

The Ideal Candidate Profile:

• A minimum 1of 5 years of experience in Tech, Internet, eCommerce, Social Media industry.
• Possesses a minimum of 5 years of experience in search strategy, promotion strategy, or content operations, ideally within a high-velocity consumer tech environment (short-form video, social media, or community-driven products is a strong advantage).
• Has at least 2 years of direct experience building, managing, and developing high-performing teams and good experience managing international or cross-cultural teams.
• Fluently bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese is a non-negotiable requirement to facilitate seamless collaboration with key stakeholders across global offices.
• Demonstrates exceptional content sensitivity and comprehension - intuitive sense for what will trend and engage a diverse global audience.
• Exhibits sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of breaking down complex, ambiguous problems into actionable strategies.
• Is a results-driven leader with superior communication skills, exceptional executional prowess, and the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
