Position Summary: The Bartender is responsible for crafting exceptional beverages, providing outstanding guest service, and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. This role combines strong product knowledge—especially wine and cocktails—with speed, accuracy, and hospitality to ensure an excellent guest experience. Key Responsibilities: Guest Service Greet guests warmly and provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine, beer, cocktails, and menu pairings. Take and prepare drink orders promptly, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Engage guests with professionalism, friendliness, and enthusiasm.
Anticipate guest needs and create a memorable, enjoyable bar experience.
Beverage Preparation & Service Prepare and serve wine, beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards.
Maintain detailed knowledge of wine varietals, regions, and tasting notes.
Accurately pour and present wines, offering tasting notes when appropriate.
Uphold responsible alcohol service practices at all times.
Operations & Cleanliness Set up and break down the bar before and after shifts.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, glassware, and equipment.
Restock wine, liquor, beer, mixers, garnishes, and supplies as needed.
Assist with inventory control and participate in stock rotation.
Teamwork Work collaboratively with servers, barbacks, and management to ensure smooth service.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding guest orders.
Support team members during busy shifts with a positive, solution-oriented approach.
Qualifications & Skills: Previous bartending experience preferred (wine-focused venue a plus).
Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, and especially wines and pairings.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Basic math skills and proficiency with POS systems.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. (cases of wine, kegs, or bar supplies).
Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays
