Remote and must reside in the US – Chicago area Sr. Account Manager, Purchase Order Management – Marketing & Sales (M&S department) Key Job Accountabilities: Cultivate relationships with target accounts to understand their challenges and objectives to customize and present value solutions and pricing that results in securing new business. Identify and develop new business opportunities for Purchase Order Management services across key verticals (retail, apparel, electronics, etc.) and cross-selling opportunities for air freight, ocean freight, domestic transportation, and CHB services. Build, manage, and continually refresh a strong pipeline of sales targets across multiple verticals and service offerings. Engage with supply chain, logistics, and sourcing leaders at customer organizations to understand Purchase Order management related challenges and position tailored solutions. Conduct and analyze market research using various sales tools to identify target account opportunities in international and domestic supply chain through Panjiva, social media, industry events, and OOCL liner opportunities. Collaborate with internal team members to prepare for RFI/RFQs and deliver presentations of OOCL Logistics services to interested customers. Ensure strong relationships with existing customers, leading to a high level of customer satisfaction and further upsell in additional products and services. Maintain accurate and current records of all opportunities in CRM system, weekly updates of sales activities; and upon securing new customers, report services and customer requirements for implementation. Qualifications: Experience in Supply Chain Management and Freight Forwarding services. 5 years’ industry
experience/transferable
skills. Required Travel: Minimum 25%, or as needed to cover the sales territory. Self-starter with a hunter mindset and ability to manage various sales cycles. Strong consultative selling skills, with ability to translate customer pain-points into tailored, value-driven solutions. Skills: Exhibits strong oral and written skills, and extraordinary sales skills. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, be well organized and disciplined in time management. Exemplary problem-solving techniques combined with innovative thinking. Desire to learn with attention to detail. Proficient in use of Microsoft Office; i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint. Self-motivated and success driven. A team player with a positive, customer-centric focus. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
