and engineering designs. You will interface with and engage field and network teams, both with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities As a RL Controls Network Engineer, you will have an integral position within our engineering team. This will involve assisting in a variety of essential job functions that include the designing, implementing, Integrating, troubleshooting, and supporting network infrastructure and services with
expertise/experience
at layers 1-7. Qualifications
Direct experience with
TRANSPORTATION
systems and technology extremely favorable. Network design, deployment, implementation, and testing experience Experience in engineering, implementation, and on-site support of networks 5+ years of experience with wired and/or wireless equipment (i.e. Routers, Switches, Firewalls, ) Experience with industry standard security practices Experience with network architecture diagrams Experience with system network performance tests (fiber/copper) Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends in "OFF-Revenue hours" as Experience with equipment selection, design, implementation and support of enterprise network systems and diagnostic tools One or more certifications are a plus; CCNA, CCNP, Genetec, Nozomi, Extreme Networks, CompTIA, Lenel Network site surveys, design, documentation, commissioning Experience with Switching, Routing, Wifi, CCTV, PoE, LPR, AC/DC, CBTC, EACS helpful Travel 15-30% to customer sites You'll be doing work that matters alongside other talented people, transforming the way transit industry leverages communication networks as it progresses with current technology.
