Preschool/Pre-K Teacher

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities aligned with early childhood learning standards

Create a welcoming classroom where children feel secure, respected, and encouraged to explore

Promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development through structured and unstructured activities

Maintain discipline and establish routines that encourage positive behavior and cooperation

Observe, assess, and document children’s growth, behaviors, and learning progress using appropriate tools and methods

Build strong partnerships with families through regular updates, parent-teacher conferences, and progress reports

Follow all health, hygiene, and safety protocols, maintaining a clean and organized classroom

Collaborate with fellow teachers, aides, and school administrators to support school goals and share best practices

Modify activities to accommodate children with diverse learning needs and developmental levels

Use technology to support learning and classroom engagement

Participate in ongoing training, workshops, and staff meetings to stay current with early childhood education trends

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a dedicated Preschool/Pre-K Teacher who can contribute to our nurturing and enriching learning environment while upholding Otter Learning’s mission and values. Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a licensed child care setting

Strong understanding of childcare licensing requirements and early childhood best practices

Demonstrated love for working with young children

Ability to engage children in developmentally appropriate activities

Comfortable with integrating technology into the classroom

Positive, team-oriented attitude with effective communication skills

Must be 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or GED (in some states, 16 years old may be acceptable)
