This position is contingent upon successful contract proposal submission and award.
Prevailance is seeking an experienced and mission-focused professional to serve as a Junior-Level Capability Assessments, Experimentation and Future Requirements Analyst for the Commander, Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC). In this role, you will provide tactical and operational expertise to enhance the readiness and effectiveness of the Surface Force across multiple warfare domains. Occasional travel may be required.

This role provides support across various SMWDC sites, including:
- SMWDC Headquarters, San Diego, CA
- Mine Warfare (MIW) Division, San Diego, CA
- Sea Combat (SC) Division, San Diego, CA
- Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) Division, Dahlgren, VA
- Amphibious Warfare (AMW) Division, Little Creek, VA
- Serve as a subject matter expert in Surface Warfare operations, leveraging 8+ years of experience as a qualified Surface Warfare Officer
- Provide expertise in Combat Systems operations, components, and associated instructions to enhance training and operational readiness
- Analyze and address Command and Control issues related to surveillance, engagement, and planning functions across numbered fleets
- Develop and implement operational strategies in collaboration with staff and fleet units to ensure mission success
- Facilitate advanced tactical training for Surface Warfare personnel, with a focus on amphibious warfare (AMW), anti-submarine warfare (ASW), or surface warfare (SUW) operations
- Apply knowledge of Fleet operations and planning procedures to support readiness assessments and operational planning efforts
- Utilize WTI (AMW or ASW/SUW) qualifications, if applicable, to provide specialized training and guidance; aviation qualifications are also considered valuable
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and enhance naval doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures
- Security Clearance : Possess current SECRET Security Clearance
- Experience :
- Minimum 5 years of military experience as a qualified Surface Warfare Officer
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience in technical writing white/issue papers, CONOPS, CONEMPS, or similar documents
- Minimum 3 years of recent proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite Applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, Sharepoint)
- Experience with Staff or Fleet operations and planning procedures
- Preferred Attributes
- Experience as a WTI (IAMD, AMW, or ASW/SUW) qualified officer
- Aviation Officer Qualification
- Strong analytical skills to assess and improve tactical training and operational strategies

Salary Description
$80,000 - $135,000
