SUMMARY We are seeking a highly skilled Leak Detection Technician to ensure the integrity of welded metal chambers used in space simulation environments for satellite testing. This role is critical to maintaining ultra-high vacuum (UHV) standards and ensuring the chambers meet stringent aerospace specifications. Our headquarters and manufacturing facility are located in Hingham, MA and we have another manufacturing facility in Rockland, MA. Dynavac builds custom high vacuum process capital equipment for satellite testing and thin film coatings. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Conduct leak testing on welded metal vacuum chambers using helium mass spectrometry (helium leak detection), pressure decay, and other advanced methods. Inspect welds for porosity, cracks, and other defects that could compromise vacuum integrity. Collaborate with welders, engineers, and cleanroom technicians to ensure compliance with aerospace-grade fabrication standards. Interpret technical drawings, vacuum system schematics, and fabrication specifications. Maintain and calibrate leak detection equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives related to weld quality and chamber performance OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other work as assigned EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & SKILLS High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in welding inspection or NDT (non-destructive testing) preferred. Minimum 7 years of experience in leak testing for vacuum systems, preferably in aerospace or high-tech manufacturing. Proficiency with helium leak detectors and vacuum system diagnostics. Ability to work in cleanroom conditions and follow contamination control protocols. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Certification in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods (e.g., ASNT Level II in Leak Testing or Visual Inspection). Experience with space simulation chambers, thermal vacuum testing, or satellite environmental testing a plus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.
