GENERAL SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to manage our indirect supply procurement and potentially learning the direct supply procurement. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective and high-quality purchases. You will play a critical role in supporting internal customer demand, maintaining purchasing compliance and maintaining adequate indirect supplies to support the company operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms. Manage vendor onboarding, offboarding processes. Manage vendor relationships, including but not limited to, performance evaluation and contract management. Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with internal teams to forecast purchasing needs. Process purchase orders, track shipments, ensure vendors are paid timely and resolve any issues within the procure-to-pay process. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. Identify cost-saving opportunities and lead procurement process improvement initiatives. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier agreements and pricings. Collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams to align purchasing with budget as well as proper payments to vendors. Other responsibilities when needed PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel to support analytical requirements. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 2-3 years of Purchasing experience with related associate degree or high school diploma; bachelor degree in business or supply chain management is preferred. Experience in a small business or startup environment working with FDA compliances is preferred.
