Primary Purpose
Uses machines and equipment toassist with manufacturing, while performing specialized tasks to create andproduce a standard or customized product.
Major Job Responsibilities
Performs typical machine shopand press operations
Operates a press production,braid winding, lathe or crimping machine in accordance with
establishedprocedures
and guidelines
Read, interpret and followbasic blueprints, diagrams, manufacturing drawings, bills of material or otherwritten instructions or procedures.
Accurately record number ofparts produced both good and scrap
Utilize hand tools such as ahand held screw driver and drill guns
Maintain inventory of productin work stations
Perform quality work checks toinsure the product meets quality standards
Identify product defects andreport it
Operate functional areaequipment in a safe and efficient manner
Maintain safety,
quality,productivity
and housekeeping standards as required
Maintain accurate and timelydata
Report any safety problems,hazards, accidents and near misses to management
Adjust machine settings asnecessary to complete assigned task
Properly use safety
equipment,including
machine guarding, interlocks and safety curtains are working properlyor report it
Able to troubleshoot andresolve simple quality product issues
Meet standards and tolerances
Other job tasks as assigned bySupervisor
Physical Demands
Regularly lift up to 30 pounds
Perform repetitive tasks
Possess manual dexterity toput parts or pieces together accurately
Understanding MSDS andhandling of hazardous materials
Work alone or in a teamenvironment
Regular good attendance is anessential function of the job
Ability to stand, sit, stoopor bend, reach above shoulders up to 25% of time
