Overview Tradesmen International
is immediately hiring experienced
Master Painters
for projects located in
Newbury, VT.
This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate
up to $28/hr
based on experience and skill level. If you are a Painter eager to demonstrate your knowledge and skills while learning new ones, this is your chance to advance in your career!
Job Scope: Perform a variety of high skill level residential painting for mill work cabinetry interior and exterior of homes Covers surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting Calculates amounts of required materials and estimates costs based on surface measurements and/or work orders Mixes and matches colors of paint stain or varnish with oil and thinning and drying additives in order to obtain desired colors and consistency Develops special finishing techniques such as sponging ragging layering or faux finishing Polishes final coats to specified finish Carefully removes fixtures such as pictures door knobs lamp hardware and electrical switch covers prior to painting Removes old finishes by stripping sanding wire brushing or using water and/or abrasive blasting Erects scaffolding or sets up ladders to work above ground level
